Unlike most mattresses calling themselves natural or organic, the Colgate Natural I has no metal, no plastics including polyethylene plastic just natural and renewable coir fiber made from coconut shell husks bonded with all natural latex that comes from plants that provides the support infants need, a natural and renewable cotton batting top cushioning layer for comfort and, a certified organic cotton cover. Mattress is a full 5 “es thick and fits all standard size American cribs and toddler beds. Coir fiber has been popular in Europe for years. Colgate uses a very high quality coir fiber bonded with natural latex. This mattress passes all federal and state requirements for flammability and chemical composition and has been GREENGUARD certified to have no harmful air emissions.
