Review and Giveaway: SnoozeShade for Infant Car Seats
I recently did a review and giveaway for the SnoozeShade Plus sunshade and sleep aid for strollers and now I’m moving on through their product line to the SnoozeShade for Infant Car Seats. I asked my friend Christine, whose twins were about three months old at the time, to give it a spin. Here’s more about the sunshade and Christine’s thoughts.
Designed by a mom: Cara, the mom behind SnoozeShade has “been there, done that” and used her experience, along with the experiences and feedback of other parents and caretakers, to create the SnoozeShade line of products.
UPF 50 sun protection: The AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) recommends that babies under 6 months of age be kept out of direct sunlight completely and that beyond 6 months sun exposure continue to be limited whenever possible, especially during peak hours (between 10am and 4pm), when UV rays are strongest. The SnoozeShade provides both shade and UPF 50 sun protection.
Breathable fabric: Since Christine has twins and I only gave her one SnoozeShade to try out, she did a side by side comparison: “The trouble with the blanket of course is that it falls down, blows away, etc. I also sometimes wonder what the air flow is like under a blanket, but the SnoozeShade seems totally good in that regard.”
Blocks 94% of light: Christine reported, “I’m also impressed by how much shade it provides. I had my guy under there a long time and then I took it off at 5pm, in the shade, and he was completely blinded (I felt a little bad!).”
You can also save 20% and get free shipping with coupon code ENCORE20FS on the SnoozeShade site or add the SnoozeShade for Infant Car Seats to your Encore baby registry.
Disclosure: Encore Baby Registry received a SnoozeShade for Car Seats to test and review, as well as one to give away to a randomly selected winner.
I would really like to have this for my little one to come, since we live in sunny San Diego.
