Free Hand-Me-Down Give Away in Downers Grove, IL
Today (9/30/11) and tomorrow (10/1/11) congregation members of the First Baptist Church in Downers Grove, IL are holding their third annual “Hand-me-down Connections” event. On Thursday the church collected hand-me-down donations of baby, children’s, and adult clothes, as well as toys and household items to give away to community members on Friday and Saturday. This free event is open to anyone and is a brilliant idea that keeps goods circulating to those who can use them.
